Raw and fast, smooth as glass...
'69 Model rips through the hills of many genres to give you
the most original booty-shaking music and a great live show for your buck.
Born of the same talent-rich Mississippi soil that gave rise to great blues men and rock icons,
'69 Model respects and embraces the influence of these music legends.
"I formed '69 Model by asking long-time friends Chris Fooshee (drums) and John Forsythe (bass) to join in on some songs I'd written. I'd been in cover bands before, but wanted to grow beyond that," says front man Bric Repult.
"We started playing some local hot spots, and made a couple of trips to Memphis,
where the response was great.
I decided the time was ripe for documenting some
of this music that was coming out of me,
so off to the studio we went."
Writing a song is like building a muscle car -- lots of power, strong frame,
and about five quarts of life added. And it's gotta be loud.
"I guess you can call me the driver," says Brickster. "The band is
the machine with a lot of moving parts, with the crispiness of a new hot-rod engine.
'69 Model has been stroked and bored and is road-ready.
"I've added two new high-performance parts to the machine ," says Bric.
"Chris Clark (bass) and Jeremy Allen (drums) bring their formidable talent
to the track." Both were formerly members of Green Elvis, a great Tupelo band of the '90s.
Look for some great original music from this trio, plus some kick-ass cover tunes.
And be sure to get your own copy of the '69 Model debut CD Kickin' Asphalt,
available now on RazorHorse Records.
'69 Model promises a high-octane live performance.
